Extremely disappointed with this rental car company. They are a pickup or drop off location. Nobody in the office when you show up and nobody to answer the phone when you call. Oh and by the way, 150 miles, that's how far they'll let you take the vehicles. West Yellowstone but not the rest of Yellowstone or anywhere else. Trying to rent locally and to support a local business however, I would recommend using a different company given the limitations and lack of available service for this one.
I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. This VERY SMALL scratch on the windshield was deemed moderate severity. Daniell-the "inspector" that they make seem like an outside inspector actually works for this company because she made my reservation-used her fingernail and scratched the hell out of this tiny mark on the windshield making it bigger. Yellowstone Rent A Car provided outstanding service. I was impressed with how attentive they were to me while I sat on the airport tarmac, waiting to pull into the gate. They also gave great hiking recommendations. Everything went smoothly. I'd definitely use them again, and suggest them to anyone travelling in the area.
My husband and I had a great experience with Yellowstone Rent a Car and would highly recommend them. It was such a more personal and generous interaction than renting from a big name rental car company. Not only did they arrange to pick us up from the airport, but they loaded all of our bags and skis into the car and took us to their office to discuss the rental agreement. They were so kind and detailed, and offered us a snack and water. When we returned the car, they took us back to the airport, too!
