Yarns Unlimited is a great place to buy yarns I have taken my mom to this store and she was very happy to see so many different kinds of yarns here. You can buy cheaper yarns at big craft retailers, but yarns they sell are most acrylic 100%. This place has 100% wool yarns with different colors and types. Prices are not cheap but quality of yarns are excellent!
Great Selection, Friendly Staff This may be a little hole-in-the-wall store, but looks can be deceiving. Their inventory is astounding and there are plenty of samples of projects or swatches of fabric knitted out of the yarn. The staff is fairly knowledgeable and very friendly. Needles and supplies may be a bit pricey compared to major chain stores, but the yarn selection is absolutely amazing. Shop around for good deals and be sure to check the 50% off bin behind the counter.
Yaarns Unlimited Walked in and had a great time browsing the yarns. They offer alot of choice in the space they have. I really enjoyed their selection of novelty yarns. They carry alot of the big name yarns and have some lesser known brands. If you're a knitter, you wont be disappointed in this shop! Street parking is usually available.
Small knitting store, limited selection Yarns Unlimited is very small shop, hidden away on Pico with awkward parking. However if you're in the area and are jonesing for a yarn fix they are stuffed with yarn - saw lots of Cascade 220 there. This is definitely not a full-service yarn store with lessons, classes, etc but just a shop where you can pop in, find what you need, and get out. Prices were not outrageous.
