XDS operates the Farm at Penny Lane which is also connected to UNC's Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health (CECMH). The programs and the people here are really incredible. No matter where you are in life, this is an affirming, welcoming and nourishing space~ Programs are offered year round and everyday of the week. The most popular days to attend are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thursdays offer a full range and variety of programs but tends to draw a fewer number of participants. Best of all, free of cost!
XDS partners with UNC's Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health to provide community-based therapeutic opportunities. The UNC Farm at Penny Lane, located there improves health through horticultural therapy, gardening, fresh produce, and programs such as yoga, cooking, music and art therapy.
