A family business The store was established in 1919 by brothers Walter and Tom Nettleton. After serving in the First World War, the brothers returned home and decided to set up in business, selling furniture to the local people. The brothers started making and selling individual suites, delivering them to the local people by hand cart and then later using a horse and cart. Excellent service - would we expect anything else! We have been buying furniture from here for many years. Customer service is excellent. Knowledgeable staff. Never pushy with sales. Answer any questons and help you choose something great. Andy was fantastic with a recent lounger sofa purchase.
Visited this store today 8th July and purchased a G Plan 2 seater sofa and a couple of chairs. The showroom was lovely and spacious inside spanning over two floors. You are spoilt for choice with all the different furniture they sell. I'm sure there is something for everyone here. Andy P was a great salesman and didn't put us under any kind of pressure to buy. Fantastic levels of customer service from start to finish. The sales manager Paul is a credit to the business. Had an issue with my order (not Nettletons fault) but the urgency of Paul's actions along with his team to get it sorted was outstanding along with excellent communication and the problem was sorted very quickly. Will definitely purchase from Nettletons again.
We were very impressed with both the store itself & the service we received when we purchased our new sofa & chairs. Julie was very professional & approachable when we asked for advice & sample books whilst making our decision. There was a good selection of furniture to suit all budgets & we were able to look around at our own leisure without intrusion. Excellent, personal and patient service. Ian talked us through intricacies of buying a new bed and finding the most appropriate mattress. We were given time to fully decide on what was best for us. The store provides top quality products. Highly recommended.
