So far so good my husband and I both showed up and immediately they checked to see if we were in the system and we were surprised that we were. Apparently if you've ever received government assistance you are in the system for Texas workforce. We were asked to make an appointment and give him two flyers for job fairs. We are both hopeful.
I had to reschedule due to the office being closed because of Hurricane Beryl, I showed up for the appointment only to be met with confusion as to why I was there. After a few minutes of being searched up in the system, the counselor basically said they weren’t helping anyone with Education support who wasn’t receiving unemployment. Waste of time. Didn’t help me with finding a job either.
I have called this number twice now and no one has answered my calls or returned them. I don't know if I am being impatient or they're understaffed.
The number keeps saying it's busy and hangs up for 4 days straight and I don't have a ride to the office
