Another Woolies supermarket. High volume stock and extremely large store. Bakery Great fruit and veg Excellent delicatessen Public outside toilets 50 metres from front door but very old and desperately require upgrade.
Positive vibe. Today I walked into Woolies Waurn Ponds and it looked amazing. The 50%off signs were in full force. At the cat food I spoke to a man packing the shelves, I told him how good the shop looks and he proudly said ‘we are genuinely trying to help with prices, now things are getting tougher’. Normally I would be cynical but I caught his hope and enjoyed it. One downer, the poor cashier had a man with a full trolley walk on out! Anyway 5 stars today I walked out with some hope and gratitude.

Don’t get me wrong, good store and generally staff are nice bar a couple. I’m going to sound dramatic but i promise you this happened tonight and has happened a couple times in the past with the same 2 staff members. I work from 10-9:30pm, by the time i get out of work it’s usually about 9:45. Every other night i dash to woolies and get in about 9:50ish.
