Why are groceries at this store so expensive? It's not like they employ enough staff to man the checkout. Saturday afternoon at Woolworths Warner, there were a lot of people in store and they had 2 checkouts open, whilst hearding as many as they could through the " do our work for us self service line". I accidentally clicked ‘begin scanning’ instead of ‘complete pay and go’ at the self serve today. And I think because of this, the worker assumed I was stealing. She proceeded to snatch the scanner and say ‘I’m going to do a quick check’ and suddenly began touching all my items and scanning them to ensure I had scanned everything on the device. Very poor customer service experience at your store on 24 January 2026 at approximately 7:37 pm, at the checkout counter. The lady serving at the counter did not acknowledge me at all and refused to take the shopping bags provided. After scanning the groceries, she dumped all the items on the counter without any care or courtesy. What has happened to the spice and fruit in the hot cross buns? Both were seriously lacking in the traditional fruit hot cross buns that I purchased today. Cost cutting only loses customers.
