Had a shocking experience today. Had my young child with me who needed to go to the toilet mid-shopping. Went to the self checkouts to ask the staff member where to leave my shopping and where the toilets are, but they were on their personal phone standing outside the store and avoiding the eye contact even after standing 1.5 metres in front of them. It was an older lady who clearly doesn't want to be there, so why is she there? If I wasn't in such a rush I would have spoken to the store manager to provide this feedback.
Staff needs to be trained to work rather than chit chat. I went for click and collect and had to wait for 30 minutes and when I walked into the store the guys who deal with online orders were just chit chatting and when I asked and the response was "will be back in a second" and no one came for next 10 minutes and finally I had to cancel my online order. Google navigates you here as a supermarket but it’s in fact this ridiculous oligopoly business’s Russian style head office. Woolworths and Qantas are about the same level in the swamp.
