Woolworths Monbulk is a really reliable and convenient local supermarket. The recent addition of more self-checkouts has made shopping much faster and easier, especially during busy times. It’s great to be able to get in, find what you need, and check out without delay. The store also keeps a solid range of health foods and specialty items, which I really appreciate. The new layout is not disability friendly. People with mobility issues now can ONLY park to the side exit closest to the school, because they now make you walk the entire length of the store just to enter. Really bad design oversight. Rather ableist. It disappoints me both as an ongoing local - with chronic pain and fatigue- and somebody whose first job was working at this store. Do. Better... It is 2025 and we all know the corporation has the money to correct this if they want to.
