I’ve come to gain a policy about getting food from South bank metro, and that’s to not eat anything that isn’t bagged and sealed. I’ve bought wings from the hot food section that still had feathers in them, and I’ve just bought a box of strawberries on sale that had a health hazard amount of moss growing on them. The convenience of a grocery store in south bank only just out weighs how risky it is to eat the “fresh” fruit and hot food they stock.

They need more machines that do cash only 2 of the self checks out have it. Some days you get your favourite intense expresso ice coffee and it's always out of stock.

Woolworths Metro Southbank is a super handy little store that’s perfect if you live or work nearby. I often pop in for quick groceries or last-minute dinners, and it almost always has what I need. It’s not a full-sized Woolies, but for a Metro, the range is surprisingly decent. Fresh produce, ready-made meals, snacks, drinks — even a few specialty items you wouldn’t expect, like sugar-free drinks and artisan bread. I just bought few items from Woolies for a donation at work. But unfortunately they have closed collecting goods. I wanted to return it as I don't need this much of goods. Woollies rejected returning the goods even after my valid reason and I bought it just few minutes away. Bought items: 16/07/2025 at 1.43pm Request for return with the receipt: 16/07/2025 around 2pm. I know typically they don't accept returns. But even telling it's for donation and just return within 10mins time they refused to return. Disappointed.
