Price gouging on fruits, vegetables and other essentials. Regularly switching moving products from aisle to aisle in an attempt to make shopping more difficult for regular customers, I assume in an attempt to force customers to shop more. Obscene level of cameras on every ceiling. Instead of providing reasonable pricing and adequate service, Woolworths endeavours to make the customer experience as depressing & loathe-some as possible. I will actively be seeking alternatives to reduce the time and money wasted in this store.
Quite a large Woolworths supermarket that’s well stocked, neat, with good layout. Floor staff are busy and aren’t as helpful in pointing out where items are stocked as in other large Woolworths supermarkets (eg Crows Nest and Neutral Bay) or smaller Woolworths locations (eg Met Centre, Mosman, Chatswood).
I like shopping at the Woolworths Marrickville Metro store. I shop there every few days. Staff are great to deal with, including those who stock the shelves. Checkout wait times are (mostly) minimal, even on weekends. Recent store upgrades and shelf reconfigurations have worked well. Aisles are plenty wide enough for peak times. A new fleet of trolleys was brought in a year or two ago — which is great 'cos the old metal ones were clunkers... :)
My regular spot for groceries, price is responsible but well-organised.
The new fixtures in the fruit and veg section are not safe. They give you splinters and rip your clothes if you lean on the sharp uneven timber fixtures. Should be reported as a safety issue!
