Local who’s shopped here hundreds of times. Couldn’t buy groceries because their card machine was down. Offered to leave my payment details or return tomorrow, refused any alternative to cash. Business couldn’t give a f about their customers. Thanks Woolies

My recent experience at Woolies Metro was disappointing regarding their clearance pricing policy. I found an item marked down for clearance, but at checkout, the staff refused to honour the displayed price, claiming it was a mistake. This seems like a deceptive practice and left me feeling that Woolies was actively trying to avoid selling the product at the advertised price. I chose not to purchase the item and am hesitant to trust their clearance pricing in the future.

The staff are friendly and efficient, in what must be a difficult job. They're not responsible for the inflated prices and some customers are jerks. I'm giving the staff five stars and the Woolies upper management zero for treating the staff like rubbish. Solidarity with the workers and union.
