Calling out unacceptable behaviour by staff. Switching prices on customers and then making false statements is a new low - and not ok. Went into Woolworths Cockburn Central on 22/04/25. Apples were advertised on special at $4.90/kg. At the checkout it magically went up to $7.50/kg. Staff went to ‘check the price’ and removed the price sign. Then they falsely claimed there was no price displayed at all. Can you spot the missing price sign?
I was there this morning 13 04 2025 [not my usual - Coles is the go to - and I have knee issues so this Woolworths store is a bit more of a trek]. I queried if there was more of a particular item [skinless chicken legs]. The female assistant said I will have to ask a gentleman in that section. I wasn't too far away and overheard her say to him "...I'll tell her that there is no more then..." She came over to relay that message and I replied "is he too lazy to go out the back then?". The layout is messy and looks messy. Not enough staff on for the volume of people coming through the doors. All self serve and check outs rarely open even when busy. CEO/Management should be ashamed of the way this store is presented.
Prices are not competitive any more.
