This is definitely a destination yarn shop for Northern Illinois. Their selection is incredible, their prices are fairly reasonable (for high-end boutique yarn), and their store is large and clean. They cater almost exclusively to knitters and crochets (not weavers or loom knitters), and getting a ball wound can take quite some time when they're busy (I'd recommend just buying a ball winder and doing it at home versus having them wind one for you). Yarn wonderland. I love this place. Big variety of fine to good & affordable yarns both on display plus more in the warehouse you can browse on website, friendly very knowledgeable staff, classes free or low cost, open knit/crochet. You can check stock quantities on the website so you know if there's enough for your project without going there, (but you do want to go there!) Free fast shipping if you live too far . Oh and even the bathroom smells divine! Crafting = meditation with souvineers, especially at Wool and Company.
One of my absolute favorite yarn shops! It is beautiful, so aesthetically pleasing, the employees were so welcoming and helpful...you just want to stay all day!
This yarn store is a knitters haven. I have ordered from Wool & Co and have never been disappointed. Their shipping time is great and, most of all, the true colors of the yarn are what you see on their website. If my travels ever take me to IL., I will not go home before visiting this yarn store. Thank you Wool & Co for great customer service!
