I just let my candy store and got raped and didn't even know until I looked at the receipt. Woodworkers sells in board feet which in turn is the quarter system. Now when this great store, which is now tainted, has racks label 4/4 6/4 8/8, that means you know what your getting no need to check thickness. What the crazy part is, the piece of curly maple I purchased wasn't 4/4, not even close. Barely even 3/4. After planing I am at 5/8, well because I am not that good.
