This place is an absolute joke. Attractive setting and reportedly good wine (did they buy that at the local liquor store?), but beyond that forget it. We ordered the “cheese and cracker tray” and got a grocery store slab of cheese, still in the plastic. Same with the crackers (saltines anyone?). You can see the wrappings in the picture. Tucked into the Virginia countryside just an hour and a half from DC, this charming family-owned winery offers a truly special experience. The tasting room—beautifully converted from an old horse barn—pays tribute to the family’s late father, a skilled horse trainer and rider, whose spirit clearly still rides through the place. Their dry whites and rosés are crisp, clean, and perfectly refreshing, while the reds strike a lovely balance—rich but never heavy. A heartfelt and delicious stop for any wine lover.
