Our old hometown grocer used to have the BEST rotisserie chickens, many years ago. Due to age he retired, leaving a void in our town. 20 plus years later, I finally found out the seasoning he used! It’s great on a whole chicken cooked with a pellet grill at 350-375 deg. F until it reaches the proper temp. It doesn’t beat the old rotisserie oven, but it’s damn close!
Discovered Wonderoast through my local grocery store chain, Fareway, that sells rotisserie chickens. We raise our own free range meat chickens and cook them on a used Ronco Showtime Rotisserie I picked up at a thrift store. Found Wonderoast spice online and it’s all I’ve been using for a couple years now. It really takes the flavor to a different level. Would highly recommend giving it a try.
Use this seasoning on your turkey for Thanksgiving. Thank me later.
