I was always sceptical about the quality of free legal services, but WLSQ has proven otherwise. I felt supported, informed and cared for. In simple terms, it felt like I had a private paid lawyer yet didn't have to pay a cent after experiencing DFV. Migration Lawyer Kathryn was exceptionally patient and understanding, I knew I was in good hands. Well done to the women raising funds, keeping the service running for victims like us.
Abysmal. Phobe, Adele and Lulu’s treatment of me further traumatised me, after escaping extreme coercive control/domestic violence, so severe that I received TOP TEIR Victims Assist eventually, and a lasting DVO against my ex perpetrator’s name, for five years. MY name was CLEARED when my ex DV perpetrator weaponised the civil court system against me. (Now what he did to me is a criminal offence). I was really hoping for a positive experience from gathering the strength to even call. The receptionist was absolutely amazing. She was kind, attentive, supportive & made me feel like I mattered, Thankyou Unfortunately I was left feeling lost, empty & irrelevant once speaking to the lawyer. I appreciate the sentiment but that absolutely broke the already broken person I have become. Thankyou again to the lovely lady whom gave me the time, compassion & a brief sense of worth. For that I am truly grateful
