Further update - they never called my provided number to 'understand more about the situation' now one week on. This shows how sincere they are. And any organisation that truly cares will provide the name of a staff member and phone contact, not the web address for a feedback form. I vote Labor, but I hope the Liberal government defunds them out of existence. For goodness sake, if in immediate crisis, unsafe and needing shelter call DV Connect. Update - thanks for your reply. It's better than being removed! I left my full name and phone contact with your reception a couple of days ago if you wanted to follow up but that is totally up to you. While I volunteered 20 years ago, many of these reviews and also the more recent experiences of a client of a shelter I was involved with who accessed the free legal advice nights line up with how the service was back then. My daughter’s case went back to court on the 22nd January. Tried calling and sending emails to try and found out the outcome and nothing! I sent an email to the prosecutions office who informed me of the outcome but reminded me they don’t represent my daughter and to liase with Woman’s Legal. Did they not think that’s why I tried to do? They just assumed I went straight to them! This is the firm the QLD prosecution department recommended and referred us to yet can’t even get an update.
