I use Wintrust bank, as a secondary bank and I have had the worst experience with them. First, I was told there were no maintenance fees for savings accounts but, there are fees. The second, problem is, when my debit card, was closed, the bank issued a new debit card and kept the old card open when it should have been closed. The Wintrust taken funds from my old debit card and paid, Planet Fitness $50.00 of my money without my knowledge. I’ve been here previously, however on Monday March 16th I had quite the experience. I went into the branch intending to replace my debit card as I desperately needed it to receive money onto my Wintrust account and withdraw it for an important transaction that night. I’ve been going through a rough time, so didn’t have good transportation or anything when I came into the branch.
