Great gym and my trainer Ms. Shaula is the best
Went to swim laps, not realizing that even with a lap pool there are dedicated lap swim times. I got there at 11:10. Two lanes were being used for swim lessons and 1/4 of the pool for water aerobics. Swim lesson ended at 11:30. Two lanes completely unused except for and camp instructor that was treading water by herself in the deep end. I asked if I could use the other lane since it was open and was told no. It sat empty for another 30 minutes. Great place for indoor excersice. Excellent instructors and employees.
Winter Park Y did support the Masters Swim program the way it supported other dedicated programs. Water temperature in the training pool was dangerously high reading up to 87-88 degrees. Master’s practices 3 days a week were not “blocked off” in the system like other programs. Allowing non masters participants & programs to take away entire lanes during scheduled practices. Other programs are protected from interference. Worst program support of any Y in the area!
Summer camp was seamless at the Winter Park Y from pick-up to camper engagement. My son had a great time & I felt very comfortable with the facilities & staff. Thank you for a great experience! We will be back!
