A beautiful piece of St. Louis history! This building really caught my attention; it was originally the chapel for Loretto College, founded in the early 1900s as a pioneering college for women (which is now Webster University). I especially love the arched windows and brickwork. Even just viewing it from the outside, it feels like a peaceful landmark on the campus, a must-see for history and architecture lovers in Webster Groves. I am amazed that they use it as an auditorium now; it’s just great!
What a beautiful theatre! There is upfront parking and seating for what looked to be about 240. We saw an excellent film the red spectacles and wouldn’t have otherwise without the film series. There was no concession when we went and plenty of seats. The screen and sound were solid. The seats were very comfy to me but another smaller person had to spend sometime finding how to get comfortable.
Nice small theater.
