I have been a customer for years, but recently found that the owner of the shop does not stand behind the products he sells. I purchased a plane model a while back, and when my son opened the box there were defects in the pieces along with missing items. When I took it back, he was very rude and basically said it was not his fault, but the manufacturer's. He refused to take it back or exchange the model. A much better hobby shop than you would ever expect in Sanford, NC. Mike is really knowledgeable and will recommend the product you need without trying to upsell you on more expensive stuff. Great selection, good discount. I go here for my Games Workshop addiction.
I’ve been buying MCW paints for several years and happy to learn they were opening a store in Sanford. Mike is not only knowledgeable in paints, he has many products mixed specially for modelers. The store has a huge selection of kits, tools, and accessories for builders and collectors ranging from model cars to rockets with ships and planes kits I’d estimate in the thousands. Pricing is competitive. The store is nicely laid out, well lit, clean, and I could hang out there for hours.
