Went in to get some fruit, had 16 items, and was turned away from self check out. Nobody was in line or checking out at that point. Was told I needed to check out in the normal register line, had only 1 open with 10+ people and carts in line that were almost empty and most were full. My husband and I had our items in our hands, not our cart. Very poor Customer service, and very poor work ethic having someone stand to yell at everyone, versus opening another lane.

Okay, I love Winco but this location has been rough since we moved here. There is never enough check out stations open. This last time we went we probably had a little over 20 items in our cart so yes over 15 items. I have never actually been turned away when I’ve tried to go through the checkout stations though. They had a kid stationed there this time who turned me away and said I couldn’t check out because of the number of items I had. In my Google reviews, if you read them, I feel like I'm really fair and I'm going to give a review on a WinCo experience today. I moved here about 5 months ago and have shopped at WinCo religiously. Didn't know that they did debit only, but once I figured it out I happily adjusted. When you walk in the front door they make you go right.
