I broke down on a Friday afternoon in the harbor of Crescent city the AAA driver recommended several people that he knew and I was being turned away by everybody and JTC automotive was the only one willing to accept me and then when I picked up my car, the following Monday four days later repaired found out that they also had help somebody that was stranded as well. JTC was fast, efficient, and fair in my experience. I found JTC while on the 3rd day of a 10 day road trip so I was very concerned about the grinding noise I was hearing. They looked at my car right away and within 2 hours they were done. Luckily it was just some rock/debris but they took the time to check all the possibilities, clearly communicate their findings and diagnosis, and do a test drive with me post work. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable and I would recommend.
Poor Integrity owner here. 10 months after the rack and pinion assembly was replaced here, it started to fail. I tried communicating with him but he considers minute and moot details to void their warranty. It’s the 3rd time I’ve given this shop business as I travel. The owner states he doesn’t offer a nationwide warranty and I would have had to bring the vehicle (from Washington state) to his shop. If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my vehicle in for what should have been a straightforward repair, and it turned into an expensive, frustrating ordeal that dragged on for weeks. Communication was non-existent unless I chased them for updates, and even then, I was given vague or conflicting information about the status of the work.
