Not happy with this home at all my mom went there for 2 weeks rest bite bruise free and came back home with horrific bruising never recommend this home to any one this is being investigated

Both my parents have dementia and mobility issues so we reluctantly had to make the decision for them to go into care. First impressions of Willow Grange were positive but this rapidly changed after both my parents having falls. Staff were dismissive of the incidents and also called my dad ‘nasty’ when he was resisting being washed. This comment really upset me and made me realise that they do not understand dementia and how it manifests itself in certain behaviours. Both my mother and father in law we felt would be in safe and caring hands at willow grange but nothing could be further from the truth my mother in law after 3 days fell and broke her knee and my father in law had falls too! In the 14 days my mother in law was in hospital we were still charged the full 24hr amount even though she wasn’t there being cared for or fed. When we arrived unannounced my father in law was in a dining room on his own sat in a wheelchair (at 3pm) when dinner had been served at mid day. I had to ask ... read more

We very soon had concerns following our parents' admission to the home.Unfortunately, both of them had falls. Mum's resulting in a fractured femur and hospital admission and dad's in a head injury and trip to A and E. Although we accept that falls in care homes do happen, we felt whenever we tried to speak to whoever was in charge about these incidents, they were evasive, defensive, and dismissive. Willow Grange has clean buildings, rooms and bathrooms. a wide range of activities for residents at home and outside. good quality food choices and options about where to eat meals. fast and easy access to health professionals, such as GPs and dentists. Staff & Management are cooperative and professional.
