I've been to many courthouses, the clerks at the Will County Courthouse are the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful clerks I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!!
They are quick to ruin your life. Told me I count come to court because I had mersa ten years prior, then issue a bench warrant for not coming to court. They stack the deck and care more about convictions. Quick to give felonies on something that should've been a misdemeanor. A felony for trespassing... Kind of ridiculous. A nervous breakdown cost me my teaching career.
