What a great outfitter! We have used them twice and highly recommend them. Beth (owner) and team make your trip so easy! You can rent just about everything (with fair prices.) They will take you to nearly every put-in on the river and pick you whenever you want. They are so accommodating and helpful, and everything is done with a friendly smile and great advice. The little store is also a great place for those last minute "emergency" items and a cold pop after your paddle. Also a great selection of unique items.
This place is A grade. Easily scheduling on the website, pay ahead to confirm. Lots of options for canoes and kayaks. Quick to pick you up at HWY 70. This place is solid, even runs into fall paddling times. Go here if you need a paddle on the Croix and you don't have a boat. I highly suggest the upper St. Croix as opposed to the lower.

We had such a great experience at Wild River! I bought a used canoe at a very reasonable price and Beth and John were incredibly helpful- she assisted us with strapping it down, gave us some extra rope, and offered extremely helpful information for our trip. I’ll make sure to outfit thru Wild River next time I’m in the area!
Very nice and friendly staff! Owner is doing amazing things to this campground. Beth and Marco are amazing people to work with! you will love your experience.
