If you've never been before, you have no idea what you're missing. Refer to my Giant Eagle review for more details, but suffice it to say, when I go on a shopping trip there, I walk around seeing little that I find appetizing, and leave with a lot less food than I really need, feeling irritated and unfulfilled. I have never once had such an experience at Whole Foods. Even if you're not an organic food nut (and I for one really am not), you'll love the massive selection of really innovative and different food products they of... read more

Pleasant shopping experience Whole Foods is one of the best grocery stores out there. Their employees are always friendly and always eager to help you find a product you are looking for. They carry a wide variety of gourmet, organic, and diverse types of food products. Their produce is very reasonably priced- it's very fresh and the displays are always impeccable. They have a deli as well as a cold bar and a hot foods bar. The prepared food is a delicious alternative to cooking it yourself if you have no time to do so. They ... read more

Great place to shop, but too small! First, let me say that this is among one of the smallest Whole Foods I've seen...or, perhaps that's because of the sheer amount of people packed into it. The parking lot is a postage stamp and slightly nightmarish (expect parking attendants to squeeze you in on weekends). However, it's one of the few good places to by organic and natural foods in the area. So, for that, it's worth the hassle. PROS: Relatively healthy foods in Pittsburgh! CONS: Not in the greatest neighborhood.

Clean, fun, expensive and not totally green This store is clean, employees are great, variety is good, visual merchandising is best available. Fun outdoor items that change year round. Seasonal promotions on things like pumpkins and flowers. Literally a shopping paradise.

Clean, fun, expensive and not totally green This store is clean, employees are great, variety is good, visual merchandising is best available. Fun outdoor items that change year round. Seasonal promotions on things like pumpkins and flowers. Literally a shopping paradise. When I buy meat, I only buy it here. Grass fed beef that comes from White Oak Pastures. I ate only local food for a year (and try to eat mostly local now) and was able to find most of what I needed in Whole Foods: local produce, meat and cheese, etc. We try... read more

Whole Foods is awesome ... you're going to pay a bit more than you will at Ralph's and Von's, but come on ... we're talking fresh, organic stuff here. If you're planning on making a big salad for a special someone, this is the place to go. Asmentioned, their pre-made foods are really good--smart options for people who don't want to/can't spend too much time making something nutritious and tasty.

too pricy this is a huge store and they have a great selection of vines and cheese and food of every kind. Fruits and vegetables thoguh are nothing special, they don't even smell and they llok too perfect for mother nature...prices are too high while at trader's joe you can buy much more with the same money. but hte selection they have is amazing. if you like coffee this is the place for you, they have huge bags with different coffee from all over and will be happy to assist you grinding it.

I Just Don't Get IT Sure Whole Foods has lots of stuff - we live in a city where most of their "specialty" and "exotic" foods as well as great produce are available at small ethnic grocers - at small reasonalbe prices. It turns my stomach to see such exorbitant prices. I don't care how trendy it is and how much people fall all over themselves to serve me. Their food to go is boring and tasteless. In all the Whole Foods stores the "experts" are not that expert. Even their bread is lacking.
