flourescent lights and organic food come together If you're looking to spend a forture (or have a fortune to spend), then you'll want to go to Whole Foods Market. Personally, I don't enjoy being surrounded by the people who shop there or knowing that I am being overcharged. But they do have probably the biggest selection of organic foods and produce that I've seen. I used to go to Wholesome Market (formerly Healthy Pleasures) but that closed. Everything Looks Appealing Nothing is more appetizing then visiting a store where everything is clean, laid out and there is tons of variety. I agree with a previous poster that the Columbus Circle location is the best; however, I love how close this one is to me and on many occassions have stopped in for lunch or picked up some items that were nearby to take on a picnic. I love the salad bar and the mozzerella balls mmm.
Relatively short wait, Great food, Seating Area This particular branch of Whole Foods is spectacular. No matter how packed it is, the lines move briskly and you can almost always find a seat in the upstairs dining area within a couple minutes, which is pretty good for a hot spot on Union Square. While the salad bar and hot bar food is not cheap, the quality is great and it certainly beats going to a more expensive restaurant for dinner. I love this Whole Foods!
