Thought it was going to be a good bank for me. That turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE. for over 2 months i noticed i was losing out on more money than i have been spending. I keep my receipts and check my balance frequently. Then i noticed that the bank was taking the money i had transferred to checking from savings had been moved back with out my permission and they charged me and overdraft transfer fee. Attention to new comers, They are indeed a credit union, so in this aspect it is superior to being at a standard bank. However.. as the years have gone on, service seems to be lacking. W.r.c.u doesn't seem to have any aspirations of expanding. Which is fine I suppose, if the small town bank thing is what you want. Downsides: they do not "share branch" which is a state wide community of credit unions if you aren't aware, most credit unions do, so you can deposit money from credit unions in the community. In order to obtain membership, you must live, work or worship in the state of Washington, or have a family member in the state of Washington who is or becomes a member themselves. I completely respect that. However, the new member account specialist, Kat, very rudely told me that my family member must be a direct family member such as a sibling or parent, which I was not previously told.
