Our mom has been at White Oaks for just under a year. It's always a hard transition for any family and Love one. We wanted her to be safe , and a feeling of around family as she is used to. White Oaks gives everyone freedom to be you, and no pressure if not feeling it. We like to attend as many activities and Holiday functions ( MANY ORGANIZED ) as we can. I think her favorite time is when White Oaks has a function and they bring in little ones in to sing or inspire them. Love you mom !
Nurses are rude to the residents. Everybody tends to cover for each other. When I visited a couple times residents would wear the same clothes daily. It smells like urine as soon as you walk in. Same activities daily and all they do is watch television.
My parents have been here about 4 months. In that time my mother feels safe. She rarely feels safe. Everyone who works here is friendly, patient, and helpful. The grounds and building are clean and quiet. The size is small which allows for a more personnel experience for the residents and their families. From my first call to today, they told me what they can do for my family and how they can help. They have been true to their words.
