I’m surprised by people suggesting that the staff is unfriendly. I’ve had such wonderful experiences there. One time I called from the freeway stuck in traffic and told them, “I’m having a dinner party. Can you stay open a few extra minutes for me?”They not only waited for me, but pulled together all the items I needed to make a delicious dinner! What service! I love supporting local farmers and local organic food. This isn’t a big chain grocery store. This is a quaint little farm shop for people who care about nutrition.

I'll never do that again. I bought Kimchi (first time in my life) from Whistling Duck because they don't use sugar. Well, I'm guessing they don't wash their vegetables. The entire jar, each and every bite, had a crunch like sand or dirt in it. Yuk.

Love the selection and the ability to not have to drive to town, however, the staff is so rude and acts so put out if they have to come out and ring you up that my husband has told me that he won't go in there for me ever again. The last time I was there, the person in line in front of me asked about how much her tomatoes cost and got yelled at to look at the screen. There is never a smile, never a thank you. I used to like this place....bit pricey but sometimes some decent items. The other day I stopped by to pickup a few items and see what they had, but their employee chose to sit in her Prius out front while several customers had to wait while she spent time on her phone in her car before opening up the store....after a few minutes I decided to no longer wait and left.....I won't be back
