I needed a rental while my wheelchair can was being repaired. This company told me they ONLY have manual ramps on their vans and that I was expected to have an “assistant” to close the ramp and door once I am in the van. Apparently they don’t realize wheelchair users don’t get an magical fairy to grant you a FT asst when you become disabled. I told them not every wheelchair user has a personal assistant with them they seemed like I was speaking Chinese, they were very confused as to why all disabled folks aren’t given a free... read more

Amazingly, I was told they only have manual ramps on their vans, which require an assistant to put away once you are in the van. When I explained that not every wheelchair user has a personal assistant with them full-time or at all they seemed very confused. This is an ableist company that is not fully wheelchair accessible if you have to depend on an "assistant", to use the wheelchair ramp. Shame on them
