Is Westwood Retirement Resort worth the wait? You bet it is. My mom waited over five months to get in and has absolutely no regrets. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make new guests welcomed into the "Westwood Family ". Staff turnover is minimal and you experience the guest/staff relations with almost all people on a first name basis. The other day I went and had dinner with my grandmother and Braydee was the sweetest girl serving us. She was so kind and friendly and I hope to return again!
My aunt has been at Westwood for the last two years and loves it. She feels so "taken care of' especially during Covid. She has often told me she lacks for nothing at Westwood. I personally can not say enough good things about the staff. Not only are they friendly, they have been supportive, helpful and very accommodating as I try to manage things for my aunt from my home in Calgary.
Westwood Retirement Resort was my mom’s home for five years. She truly felt like she had an extended family here. She loved all the activities, friendly and amazing staff and her many friends. Her favourite event was the Family Christmas Party & Wine Night and helping to run the weekly bingo games. The resort was always decorated for holidays, had lots to keep you busy and was very clean. Westwood retirement home has been my mom’s home for the last six years, and it is fantastic! The staff are second to none, and treat all the residents like members of their own family. I am so grateful to them for looking after my mom especially during Covid, when everything has been so difficult. It is a wonderful place with wonderful people.
