I'm a parent of a child with autism. This is my second year and I'm sorry to say it has gotten worst. The staff in the front office are very condescending. Mrs Davis has dropped the ball this year again. One of her staff assaulted my son! I could not get the name of employee. Employee continues to work there while my son enxiety is to the roof. If any parents read this and are going through not being heard acknowledge please email me morena033@yahoo.com
Coming from a very large school district I see where westside really shines. They put their money into their schools, their employees and adding new technology. Their offices aren’t a temple to the administration but portable buildings that work just as fancy high rise buildings, but at a fraction of the cost. The high expectations that they hold the students to is appreciated and will make them better students and more responsible adults.
when it comes to kids well being this school district lacks it! ITS MIGHTY COLD! AND WINDY!! My son goes to IDEA Academy at Cottonwood and they are forced to stay outside for announcements, pledge of allegiance and then walk around. they can pretty much do most of this in class. teachers can read them in class if there is no speaker or something. how is my kid and everyone else's supposed to get over a cough? how is he or other kids supposed to get perfect attendance when sick? if kids are so important to this school distric... read more
