Always a 1hr line for basic customer service, super slow they need more staff
Westpac St Ives (this is directed towards Westpac management who DO NOT WORK at ST Ives). Shameful appalling customer experience caused by Westpac closing down the St George branch for money grubbing reasons. 2.5 hrs just to cancel a bank cheque, 2 people to serve all of St Ives St George Bank customers. No notifications or how to book in to speak with St George staff (only 2) who now operated with Westpac in the same branch. Simply put I am now shifting my business to ANZ. Horrible branch. They closed the local St George Bank branch and now this tiny little branch with max 2 counters is taking all the customers and the queues are usually very long as only 2 counter is open. They used to have 4 or more ATMs at St George and now they only have 1 at Westpac which is often down. Such a let down for customers!
Consistently extremely long wait times with queue out the door, consistently only 1 teller open with plenty of other staff walking around but not serving, consistently unacceptable!
10/04/26 I arrived at the help desk (with my young daughter in tow) and the teller that was there just walked off. I waited there for 20 minutes without the teller returning or any customer service until I gave up and left. An elderly lady that was behind me said she was there earlier in the day for 40 minutes without any service and she was back trying to do her banking again... The customer service at the St Ives branch is non-existent. This is NOT good enough Westpac! 😡
