Went to the Westpac branch inside the Westfield Eastgarden this afternoon (around 3 PM) and it was an unpleasant experience for me. I came to ask the front staff (white lady with long straight brown hair) some questions regarding opening a bank account in Westpac and their services, she said immediately that I cannot open it today and if I really want to open it, I need to make an appointment first or walk in tomorrow. Westpac removed careless cash as an option so now it is impossible to withdraw cash from the ATM unless you’re a Luddite who carries a card with them (ugh, old people). And they close at 4pm so anyone who actually has things to do cannot possibly get there when they’re open. And the staff are still there just past 4, only they won’t help you, just insult you for not carrying a physical card everywhere with you. So disappointed in Westpac.
