went in to bank an international (USA cheque). Staff started by telling me "we don't do that here" - it's a bank for crying out loud. Fee was $50aud (almost half its value) so I decided not to bother, now I have to find somewhere that will deposit it for less. Staff couldn't understand that US dates are backwards so were about to reject the cheque for being more than 6 months old (they thought 3rd of October (3/10) was 10th of March (10/3). The Gladesville bank manager is one of the most delightful people I've ever met in this profession. She is a wonderful asset to Westpac in the way she treats her customers with compassion and integrity.
Always been efficient and friendly service for me. I tend to drop by monthly for our routine banking.
I would like to say that I have been a customer of the Westpac branch at Gladesville for the past 20 years and my father for the past 30+ years. Recently we had a transaction to settle and Rhonda showed excellent customer service, professional knowledge and a willingness to assist which I have not seen in my dealings with any bank for quite a while. I thinks that service like this should not go with commendation and hence I have decided to share this experience with her superiors.
The slowest service in the world!!! Mostly only have one teller working at a time. Lift your game W. .
