We went to see Vendna for a home loan. After we discussed all the details in an appointment we had with her we agreed to apply for it. When we tried to contact her, to see if she received the documents or ask about the application, there was no answer. Calling the mobile, the office, the branch, emailing, leaving messages, nothing! The worst kind of customer service! Don't get near that bank.
Went to the bank last week, teller was very unprofessional. The teller has question about the BSB number I provided so she refused to serve me. Even her manger wasn’t helping. Instead of helping customer they just recommended me go to another branch. I went to Chadstone Westpac later on and their staff provided me valuable information and helped me out.
I am banking with Westpac, but have home loans at different bank at better rate. Staff at Carnegie kept telling me they can provide better deal. Even after I told them rates I am getting. They said they will do better, please send your statements. Kept calling and e-mailing. I then sent them statements showing the rates I am paying. That was the last I heard from them. Good service. Queues are not too bad if you time it well, otherwise do be prepared to wait. Best to park behind the library then walk across as you'll be hard pressed to find parking along the msin thoroughfare of Koornang Road.
There has been a high turnover in managers at this branch and things were not so good, the new relationship manager that I have (Madhu) has been excellent and has gone over above to be helpful in a genuine way, not just a sales way. Hopefully Westpac will keep him around for the long term.
