I went into Westpac/St George bank in Bega with a cheque from the US. I was hoping to simply deposit it into my account. Instead I was told that the banks no longer accept "international cheques". However it was not so much the information proffered that was annoying but the bank rep's attitude. The woman at the counter had a 'tone' in her voice. The manager was rude and incompetent.I wouldn't trust him with a jar of 5c pieces. I am changing banks
