Because Freon-12 was seen as the ideal alternative to ammonia and other toxic refrigerants, it was in widespread use by the mid-1930s. It wasn’t until 1996 that a new generation of eco-friendly refrigerants emerged, after Freon was directly linked to ozone depletion.

If your pre-demolition inspection reveals old machinery that does, or may, contain refrigerants, call us before you start tearing things down. We will come in and safely capture and remove old gases, store them, and transfer them to a recycling center.

Since recycled oil has already been refined, it takes only one-third the energy to clean it than it does to refine crude oil for use.

Have you ever wondered about the security of the documents you put in the recycling bin at work? Consider fitting it with a lock so that no one without a business need to do so can retrieve anything inside.

Recycling your old electronics can lead to the reduction of mining for precious metals. The amount of gold that can be recovered from 100 million cell phones is 3.4 metric tons, large enough to put a large dent in the need for more mining, which cuts back greatly on emissions of greenhouse gases.

Refrigerants are fluids that collect heat from one source and release it into the atmosphere. Refrigerants are converted into vapor when they collect heat and reconvert into liquid when the heat is released.

Recycling your e-waste not only keeps hazardous materials from entering the environment, it also helps to save energy. Remember that a little bit counts for a lot, too. When you recycle 1 million laptops, you save the energy equivalent of a year's worth of electricity for 3,657 homes.

The EPA's Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) program has been in operation since 2006 to highlight the laws around appliance disposal to ensure that refrigerators are responsibly deconstructed. We're here to put these guidelines into action.
