You are better off using a carrier pigeon. They will not pick up the phone. You have to call the tax assessors office so they can tell the tax collectors office to call you back...... 👎🏻

These people are awful. They never return your call, and then when you finally get someone on the phone, they are very unhelpful and snap at you with every question. Outrageous! I was trying to pay my tax bill. I have noticed this the other time or times I have called. Can't the Town of Westerly do better??
No-one likes the tax collector but it is a necessary office and piece of the machine that helps provide the services brought to us by government. I recommend never having a verbal agreement but that you insist on receiving a written, signed, and sealed copy of all agreements with the tax department.
