I give this store a qualified 5 stars exclusively because of Melanie. She is amazingly helpful and always positive and cheerful. Lately she has been stuck running this store all day by herself multiple days and yet still keeps a smile on her face despite running the store alone for 8 hours at a time. West Marine used to be my favorite for everything I needed for boating and fishing. Recently I when I went into the store two employees were at the front counter talking. I was planning on purchasing a new salmon trolling pole, fishing license, getting new line for my reel along some miscellaneous lures and gear for salmon. A young man was helping two ladies in the area where they had line, rods and reels. I was patiently waiting for them to finish when they all went to the far end of the store. I went in there to try and find a fuel sender, found it and went back down to try and install the part. The holes were misaligned on the fuel center after I tried putting it in and so it had a little bit of gas on it and they would not take it back After I bought it just an hour and a half ago.
