My neighbor of 7+ years lost their house which I found out was being purchased thru this "Charity". 2021 990 indicates 40% of revenue went to administration. And you never own the land your house sits on. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

West Hennipen Land Trust has numerous houses in the $240k range for sale (well above average days on market). I don't think they've done their math yet, or talked to people in the housing market. A $240k house, at 7% interest that's a $2,000/month payment. But then they require you must make no more than $88,050 for a family of 3. At $88k, my net is $4k per month in salary. They aren't realistic on what's going on. Raise your AMI or lower your asking price West Hennipen!

Job was seasonal and income quite low; but WHAHLT came through so we could get into our own house while the kids were still young enough to enjoy the backyard. The ladies at HWR were like benevolent aunties, leading us through the process and making it so easy. We have been 10 years in our lovely house with a big yard in front and back.
