Worst customer services, furniture delays, lies with charges and where the furniture is made in. First hand I know furniture store competitors have better customer service! After spending almost $10k on a couch, it still came with threading imperfections, different leather quality on the back of the couch and the arm rest couldn’t be installed because their warehouse forgot to include the hooks, so I had to wait another week. Never buying from West Elm again.
Very uppity and not helpful location at all. I would highly question if they treat everybody coming in fairly and without unbiased judgement. Came in randomly to see some furniture that I saw online, was immediately followed by a woman that was close by as I walked through various sections. Didn’t ask if I needed help just followed me as if I was going to steal a couch from under their noses (hadn’t touched any fabric swatches yet and was the only other person other than a family of 2 talking to a designer). DO not go here for custom curtains. I tried booking with them 3 times for custom drapery. They ignored me for weeks, cancelled appointments at the last minute, and as for today's appointment for which they sent me an email and text confirmation beforehand, did not show up at all. The manager Loren is terrible and has ignored emails and cut short phone calls with me about this -- she/they clearly do not care about your business, and she does not respect your time!
We were excited to find the carpet we wanted in stock in the store, but when we brought it home were dismayed to find that it was used - dirty and frayed on the edges, with leaves rolled up inside. Presumably, this carpet had been used as a model on the floor, and then put back in stock, or was a return (what the heck!). As compensation, we were offered 10% off a carpet, but only if we could pick one out that was in stock in the store.
