For some strange reason they do not greet you or acknowledge you when you walk in. Please say "Welcome to West Elm, I am xxxxx. Let me know if you need help with anything". That's all. Once I found out my assistant was Kayla she is super nice, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Ask for Kayla.
I’m not sure if the product delivery times are the issue with poor ratings but my experiences with this store and staff have been wonderful. We decorated the majority of our house with West Elm and partner products with fabulous results. Melissa provided great design recommendations, patiently searching for the best options available. The staff have always greeted me promptly upon entering the store and I’ve never felt neglected. This store will continue to be my “go to” for home furnishing needs.
Agree with other posters that the service here is lacking. No "hello" anytime I've stopped in. Also, little care shown for the merch. I was looking at rugs, and it was clear that none of them on the floor had been vacuumed in at least a month. Ick.
I Really wanted to buy furniture from this store - I even made an appt to work with a designer to furnish a new home with key pieces from this store. Unfortunately, West Elm has a 1.5 out of 5 rating with BBB. I'm not sure that a lot of people even think to check Better Business Bureau before they throw their money to a business...so thought I'd share this with others.
