The West Elm near Hillsdale Mall is in a very convenient location with a beautiful showroom. I actually found the exact sofa I wanted while browsing here! However, the overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The store or staff were not organized, and when I asked for samples of the specific fabric I wanted, they didn't have them available. The showroom is great for initial inspiration, but anything beyond that felt disorganized, so I ultimately just ended up ordering everything online.

Buying a single mattress should be simple, but choosing West Elm over the manufacturer was a massive mistake. We only bought from them to give the store credit after trying mattresses in person, and they convinced us they would be our advocates if any issues arose. Instead, the experience was an absolute mess and incredibly insulting. Zero stars, the rudest staff we've ever experienced at any retailer, the staff members hate their job there. My wife entered the store with a William-Sonoma bag (after purchasing an item there) and a staff member there (with the Pride tag on their shirt) looked at her in an angry manner. She asked which section had kitchen rugs in the store and he answered "you can go to William-Sonoma" in a very sarcastic manner.
