The psychiatric ward here called yewdale ward is an absolute catastrophe! The Neglect by the nurses is staggering and they hardly speak to the patients ! There was a suicide on this ward years ago! And there neglect failed to prevent it! The ward itself is clean ! Spacious and well set out compared to other hospitals iv been to! But the staff are the weak link here !

Attended the Whitehaven Opthalmic Department 27 October 2025. There are not enough superlatives to describe the wonderful treatment I received there. Sufficient to say I am enormously grateful to the two nurses for who conducted eye tests and the most brilliant opthalmist Julie who combined obviously outstanding Opthalmic skills with equally important empathetic qualities. Spent the last 6 months visiting the Henderson Suite, where I was surrounded by so much positivity and love from the nurses and fellow patients. I got to ring the bell yesterday-fingers crossed I continue to improve,The staff are excellent. They gave me some cuddles when things got to much x

Can't praise all the staff at this hospital high enough. From ambulance crew to all staff on ward 6 and 4, they gave outstanding care to my mum on her recent admission. Immaculate hospital, brilliant staff. Thank you all
