Rude and ignorant to the law! My puppy chewed my wallet, and damaged $12 worth of paper currency. After confirming that the Department of the Treasury (as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations) mandates that insured financial institutions (FDIC), must accept mutilated currency from the public and redeem it at full value as long as more than 50% of the original note remains recognizable (which was the case), they tried telling me their "policy" says I must have an account with them in order to assist me.
