My mother-in-law moved into this place when it was run by Wellstar. It had issues as all nursing facilities do, but I was able to talk to anyone there and get answers and have issues worked out. Recently Wellstar sold this facility to a new owner. The care has gone downhill rapidly. Many of the staff members were either let go or left for other jobs. This place is terrible. The rehabilitation side, at minimum, put the people in a worse situation than they are already in. The staff does not take care of the people. We had a conversation with the management about the fact that their employees were not coming to check on the individuals that hit the button for assistance. In some cases, it would take 1.5 to 3 hrs to have anyone check on them. It's sad and disappointing. My mom had to come here to build up her strength after an 8-9 night stay in the hospital. After one night and now continuing to three nights there, she's seen coach roaches crawling a foot above her head of the bed, smells urine all day long, has unsanitary surroundings with the porta potty in the room with urine and/or poop, and has been neglected by certified nurse assistants (cna) daily but more especially at night. Worst place ever my grandma would lay there for hours not being changed she did not eat for weeks. She had a UTI the first of May she received a shot of antibiotic but was never rechecked & a couple of weeks later she became sepsis went into ICU after a few days in ICU she was sent home with hospice & died a few days later! I would not put my worst enemy in this place never put your love ones here if you want them to live!
